Kelly Hiatt-Schetzsle, Publisher
A native of Fishers, Kelly Hiatt-Schetzsle returns to her Hoosier roots after 15 years working in the publishing world on the East Coast. Beginning with a humble start at the Lafayette Journal and Courier, she has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the publishing world. Her career has included positions with some of the most recognizable and prestigious publishing companies in the United States, including Gannett, Emmis, and The Boston Globe and New York Times Company.
As publisher of Northshore and Northshore Home magazines, luxury city-regional publications for Boston's northern suburbs, Kelly led the strategic growth for the print, digital and events divisions. Her efforts resulted in recognition by Diversity Journal as a 2015 Woman Worth Watching, being featured on Boston Magic 106.7’s “Exceptional Women” podcast series, and being nominated for Folio Magazine's Rising Star awards. She accepted the national Niche Award for Best Regional Magazine in 2015.
While always maintaining a commitment to community and a skill for building brands, Kelly creates platforms that unite geographies and the people and businesses within them in authentic ways and with the utmost attention to quality. By launching Northern Heights magazine, she aims to bring this same success to her hometown region.
Today, Kelly lives in Noblesville with her three children, Teagan, Elliot and Beckett. She enjoys cooking, travelling internationally, playing tennis, and curling up with a good book. Kelly is also an active member of Northview Church in Carmel.
